Chrissy aka Twiggy
Hi there! I’m Chrissy, the heart and soul behind The Barn at Twiggys, a charming Hudson Valley wedding venue in Middletown, NY. My journey began in 2006, when I was first asked to decorate our building with a cozy Country/Americana style. Inspired by the beauty around me, I started creating my own pieces—and that’s when my love for design and staging truly blossomed. In 2016, I taught myself to use a computerized router to bring my designs to life, discovering that my greatest joy wasn’t just creating—it was arranging each piece to tell a story.
Over time, that love for storytelling and staging transformed our building into The Barn at Twiggys, a rustic, warm, and inviting space where couples can celebrate their love surrounded by charm and whimsy. From the Grand Barn Hall and Gathering Room to our lush Graceland gardens and bridal and groom suites, every corner of the Barn is designed to make your wedding day unforgettable.
Starting this journey wasn’t always easy, but with the love and support of my family, friends, and God’s grace, we’ve turned a dream into a space where memories are made. I can’t wait to welcome you to The Barn at Twiggys, your Hudson Valley wedding venue, and be a part of your special day!
Yup Thats Us! Let me introduce my husband Dan
This is Dan! 💕 On September 13, 2025, we officially got married at our own venue, The Barn at Twiggys—and what an amazing experience that was.
Dan is my rock—always keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes, making sure every detail is perfect. And every now and then… he sneaks in for a kiss. 🥰 He takes care of the men—making sure they feel just as special as Chrissy makes the girls—so everyone feels celebrated and included on the big day.
We are dog lovers....
Meet Jacob, our beloved Goldendoodle! With his gentle and sweet nature, Jacob is a joy to be around and completely hypoallergenic. You'll often find him accompanying us during tours or on non-event days, adding a touch of warmth and friendliness to the venue. For event days, we keep Jacob at home to ensure his safety. If you prefer not to have a dog around, just let us know, and we'll make sure he stays in his cozy doggie room at the venue.

Here’s another way to put it: You’re here to be the light, God is not a secret to be kept. Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, our generous Father in heaven.
