Chrissy aka Twiggy
Hi there! I’m Chrissy, the heart and soul behind The Barn at Twiggys in Middletown NY. My journey into design began back in 2006 when I was asked to decorate our building with a charming Country/Americana flair. Inspired by the beautiful things I saw in stores, I started creating my own pieces, and that’s when my love for staging truly blossomed. In 2016, I took a leap and bought a computerized router, teaching myself how to bring my designs to life. After many hours of practice, I discovered my true passion wasn’t just in creating, but in staging these pieces to tell a story.
For a time, I had a retail store, but it was my love for staging that led to the magical transformation of our building into a rustic barn wedding venue, filled with the warmth and charm of a twiggy style. This new chapter in my life is all about sharing the blessings I’ve been given with others.
Starting my own business was a bit nerve-wracking, but with the unwavering support of my family, friends, and God’s grace. We are deeply grateful and give all the glory to Him for the many blessings that have come our way. I can’t wait to welcome you to The Barn at Twiggys and be a part of your special day!

Here’s another way to put it: You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I’m putting you on a light stand. Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven.
We are dog lovers....
Meet Jacob, our beloved Goldendoodle! With his gentle and sweet nature, Jacob is a joy to be around and completely hypoallergenic. You'll often find him accompanying us during tours or on non-event days, adding a touch of warmth and friendliness to the venue. For event days, we keep Jacob at home to ensure his safety. If you prefer not to have a dog around, just let us know, and we'll make sure he stays in his cozy doggie room at the venue.
